Default Newbie PSU Question (fans)

Hello All,

I've noticed on several PSU's I've seen lately that they have what looks like a fan on the top of it. Here is a sample of a PSU with what I am talking about. (link is just a sample, it's not a PSU I am looking to buy)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817182012

I'm seeing this on a lot of PSU's, and on my case it's solid above the PSU, meaning I don't see how it could get any air to that fan. Is it meant to be put in upside down so the fan is facing down inside the case?

Sorry, I'm clueless. I am in the market for a new PSU and I don't want to purchase something that I can't use.

Any info is appreciated

It's ok, just call me a dumbass. Seriously, someone get some post credit and call me a dumbass, I won't take offense and I deserve it =P

Thanks guys, I was afraid some new case mods were out with a vent up top or something. Sigh. I guess it's not THAT ridiculous of a theory.
