I'm sure they're compatible. I'm just worried about the dimensions of the case. It looks like they might fit.

I suggested the PSU to be safe. But that depends on his current PSU. Hey Lupo, see if you can open the side panel(turn off your computer first), and read the label of the power supply. Look for the wattage and +12v rail reading(s), and post back.

Alright, i did this the other day shouldnt be to hard. Be back in 10. Do you have any other strong suggestions?

If you can measure the dimensions of the case, we can tell you 100% whether those parts will fit.

OK, you definitely need a new power supply. 15A on the +12v rail, isn't going to cut it.

What did you mean by "Also, what is/does that AMD thing do?"

For that PSU thing I decided to take pictures.

Thank you all very much.

Also, what is/does that AMD thing do?

are you talking about your processor?

EDIT:
that emachines has a 3500 manchester s939, right?
decent upgrade:
x2 4200 s939 from newegg (65 bucks)
new psu b1g suggested (say, 45 for the fortron)
8800GT 256 or the 3850 graphics. (180 for the 3850)
i'd suggest some ram, too. (hows does ram equal 826?) grab a couple of sticks of (relatively) cheap value ram from new egg and pop them in with what you have (if possible). you should shoot for 2gb, but 1 gb will work if you only have two slots. if you have to use 1gb, i would replace it with a new set.
you're looking at about 300-400 dollars which will be pretty much a gigantic improvement for gaming.
s939 x2's (dual cores) are still very viable and can run new games just fine. and it will last you for quite some time yet.
