Oblivion can bring a 7900GT to its knees. I'm running a 7800GTX and ran it on not quite top end settings, but still hit slow spots when things got busy.

Oh really thx 4 pointing that out guys. Man hard 2 choose one ill probably have 2 give oblivion a miss then or give it a shot on low settings and bare with it. Cos the 7800 series in New Zealand at its cheapest costs $500 plus and my parents arnt interested in paying that so we can play computer games. 6800 series it is but ill have 2 think hard about buying Oblivion.
Cheers

don't worry, the 6800gs will play oblivion fine. you're just not gonna be able to max out details and resolution, and you're gonna have eye candy off.. you'll have descent performance.

I know. I was trying to show how rough Oblivion can be on graphics.

If you crank up the res and the eye candy, Oblivion can tax even two 7900GTX in SLI. Much less a 6800GS.
