Hefemeister Lord Techie, Messages 9,093 Location Sweden Nov 9, 2009 #4 GTX285 is the closest single gpu card comparable to the 5850 (5850 is a little bit better). GTX295 is better but very expensive. Or you could wait for the GTX300's to come out hopefully by the end of the month but who really knows.

OP OP S syrendyr Baseband Member Messages 22 Location Milky Way Galaxy Nov 9, 2009 #6 ok, one last question about the 5850. what if i was running 2xGeForce 9800 in SLI (each 1gig). would the 5850 still be faster?

Hefemeister Lord Techie, Messages 9,093 Location Sweden Nov 9, 2009 #7 A bit tough but looking at different benchmarks I would say the 5850 would be better. Not to mention the fact that a single card solution is always better than 2 with less heat and a few other issues.
