Default New Upgrades.

Current PC.

Motherboard: ASRock CONROE945G-DVI
ASRock Motherboard - Product - CONROE945G-DVI - Overview

4GB of: Corsair Value Select, DDR2 PC2-5300 (667)

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo - E6400 (2.13Ghz)

GPU: nVidia 8800GTS 320mb.

Corsair 650W PSU.


Upgrades I'm thinking of.

Asus P5N-D, NF750i SLI, 775, PCI-E 2.0 (x16), DDR2, 533/667/800, SATA II, SATA RAID, ATX - Scan.co.uk

BX80580Q8200 - Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200, Yorkfield Core, S775, 2.33 GHz, 1333MHz, 4MB L2 Cache, 7x, Retail - Scan.co.uk

GV-R487-512H-B - 512MB Gigabyte HD4870, PCI-E 2.0(x16), 3600MHz GDDR5, GPU 750MHz, 800 Cores, 2x DL DVI-I/ HDTV, HDCP - Scan.co.uk

Since you're planning to get a 4870, you should get an Intel chipset like a P45 motherboard. Later on if you want more power for graphics you can then add another 4870 for Crossfire.

I know this motherboard doesn't support crossfire, but the odds are, I wont both running crossfire at all, i'll stick with this computer until I buy a whole new tower.

Would this be better?
