New Sound Card

Im 95% my recording hardware is broken so I guess I need a new sound card. I dont need anything good just something about as good as what I have now. I have no idea how to find out what I have. I dont know if theres any compatability sound cards have to have with anything but if there is I dont know what I need to tell you.

I could not find it under any of the tabs...

Assuming you are running windows:

Start>Run>Dxdiag

Look under the 'sound' tab and it should tell you which card you have.

All it says is Sigmatel Audio

Isn't Sigmatel just integrated audio? I know they do integrated sound, MP3 players, and are just getting into TVs, but I don't know of any actual sound cards that use their chips.

Yes, that would work, but you can get muuuuuch cheaper if you just need it to sound like what you have now.

xt-reme audio is a rebranded sound blaster audigy card... waste of cash......
