New Rig soon

Well I just ordered the CPU so far in fear that it will no longer be available soon.

Opteron 148
DFI LanParty UT nF4 Ultra-D --OR-- eVGA 133-K8-NF41 SLI
eVGA 6800 GS --OR-- eVGA 7800 GT
1gb (2x 512) Corsair XMS (2-3-3-6)
200gb WD 16mb cache Sata HD
etc...etc..

The reason I put the or's in is because I'll either get the 6800 GS or the 7800 GT, and if I get the GT I'll probably use the mobo that comes with it. Any suggestions on things to change besides the cpu (already on its way here)?

By the way, anyone use that Mobo with an Opty?

I've seen many people using the combo.
I don't think the EVga board is a good OCing board.
The Opteron will stay available but only in OEM form.

Aye, so maybe I'm just better off saving the $170 and getting the 6800 GS and the DFI then. Now I gotta find ram to go in the DFI then.

OCZ ram is good i would reccomend it. between the 6800GS and the 7800GT, go with the best that you can afford. go all out.
