The computer I'm looking at only has 512 MB of RAM. (It is a Dell by the way). Anyway, to play certain games on today's market, there is a minimum of 1 GB required. Now, we definitely want to upgrade the RAM, but the question is to what?
The motherboard is model 0W2562. It has 4 slots for RAM (dual channel). I'm thinking two 512MB sticks would be the best for the least money right now. Any suggestions on which RAM I should get and which RAM works the best?
Also, I was looking, and I can't seem to find how many pins the RAM is in the computer right now. I think it is fairly safe to assume that it is 184-pin SDRAM, but I'm not positive.
I appreciate any input that anyone has. Thanks.
P.S. There is no overclocking that is going to happen. I just need some good RAM.
