Thats great to suggest a brand but without knowing whether itll work with an Emachine, then its kindly useless.

Some prebuilts make their own PSU, keyed to their case and motherboard so Its up to him to find out the specifics.

Ya, it does suck. But its a good idea for the company that made the computer, they get more money this way. People gotta go through them to upgrade, Usally.
