New Power Supply? AMD AM2/ Core Duo

I am picking up either an AMD AM2 chip or a new Intel Core Duo this week. I currently have an Athlon 2000+ running on a 400Watt power supply. Do I need to upgrade this for these new processors? If so, is it due to more power needed? or just different power connectors?

Here are the other power-consuming components.

Sata HD
TV Card
Radeon X1300 GDDR2 PCI Express x16 Video Card
Network Card
4-5 case fans

It will depend on how old the psu is. 400watts is the bare min. for a system that you are discribing. But if it has the 4pin P4 connector and the 24 pin (or 20+4 just not the old 20pin) atx mobo power connector it will probably be fine. If not then buy a new PSU.

The new chips most likely use the same or less power.

I'm pretty sure Conroe uses less power.
