new Mushkin 700w Psu problems

bought a Mushkin Joule 700W so I could upgrade my vid card, but its not showing plus 5 on the mobo, old one works no problem, but its atx 2.01 and this new one is atx 2.3. the 5v light on the mobo blinks with the new psu, on the old it is and always was on... what am I missing? is there an adapter to revert to the old standard?

if this needs to be in Trouble shooting would an admin please move it?

after speaking with company and Mushkin, I am being sent a replacement and returning with RMA. sucks as its my first major purchase since starting back in, but they are handling it like champs. +1 for mushkin customer service.
