Overwhelmingly convinced to upgrade from my AMD K6-III 500MHz!

Need help with buying motherboard bundle, etc.
I watch videos/DVDs (top priority)
And, of course, running programs (top priority)
Play games (secondary)

I WANT TO FLY!!!

Motherboard & CPU (under $200)
Size, speed, & type of memory
Graphics card

Looking to build a great system as cheaply as possible without sacrificing quality or speed.

Any suggestions?

I'd recommend a Intel 2.4Ghz Celeron D, 512MB-1GB of cheap Corsair DDR ValueRAM and a ATI Radeon 9000 or 9200 graphics card...all of it should come to less than $400

Wow, you can do so much better than that, especially if you use AMD.

Sempron 64 2800+ (INCREDIBLY OVERCLOCKABLE) - $73

MSI K8N Neo-V - $51.99

Corsair Valueselect RAM - $72

eVGA nVidia Geforce 6200 - $43
(Not too sure about this...feel free to change it if you wish.)

Grand total of $239.99. This is kind of a budget machine, however, and if you have $100-200 more to spare, you'll go a lot further.

i have a msi 6200 tc as well and baby it flies! hahaha jk its not a bad card and its really cheap (inexspensive, not quality)

disregard the last post. i just saw you want the mobo and the processor under $200. yea a 3000+ tho would be nice.
