New Motherboard.

Ok, my friend wants to buy a new motherboard for his Dell Dimension 2700, because his mobo only has PCI slots, hes not a real big gamer so hes getting hte agp slot and gonnna buy my old FX 5200 from me.

This is the one he picked out, is this a good board, and will it work with the dell.

Dell uses proprietary cases and PSU's.

Best thing your buddy can do is to get a new case and PSU with that mobo. And, if he does, he won't have to go back with a microATX.

Dont buy AGP. Its going to be phased out. Also, tell your friend nopt to buy your 5200. Its not that great of a card. Get a PCI-E 6600GT.

His friend is "not a real big gamer," so depending on what exactly he means by that, the FX5200 could be plenty. And just because AGP is being phased out, doesn't mean it's no good.

all he's gonna play is games like UT 2k4 and Diablo 2 thats all he plays.
