Well im am sick and tired of trying to get Window XP Pro to recognize and install on my SATA Drives, using my Abit KV8 Pro Board. The Raid Drivers they supplied don't work, and I downloaded the most current drivers and put them on a floppy, and they don't work either. Apprently there are many people having this problem, especially on the WD Raptor Drives, as I browsed the Abit Forums looking for an answer. So im thinking its time for a new board, here are a few I want you to look at, can you tell me which one you think is my best bet?

GIGABYTE GA-K8N PRO (N-Force 3 Chipset)

ASUS K8V SE DELUX (Via Chipset)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131544

ASUS K8N-E DELUX (N-Force 3 Chipset)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131498

ABIT KV8-3RD EYE (Via Chipset) I may get the same problems again with this board. Although it is the best Socket 754 Abit board. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813127195

DFI LANPARTY UT (N-Force Chipset)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813136147

Here are the boards I looked at, can someone recommend one? And yes, my chip is the old Socket 754

That looks like a decent board, plus its running the N-Force Chipset and I don't think I would be willing to go back to VIA

I did some reading on that DFI board, and a lot of people said they had trouble running 6800 cards on it. Granted these are only Newegg reviews, but ill post a few.

" mobo is great unless your trying to us it with a 6800 card. if you are plpanning on buying a 6800 get a different mobo"

" I really like this MoBo, one of the easiest to work with, but as the poster before me said, the nf3/geforce6800gt stuttering issue nearly drove me insane this week. Other than that I have no complaints about this board, and I would recommend to anyone with a different graphics card."

"http://forums.nvidia.com I'm very happy with the quality of the DFI lineup however I am afflicted by the Nforce 3/ Geforce 6800 stuttering and neither DFI nor Nvidia has a fix for it. Before buying into the Nforce lineup be sure to read everyone's problems with it at http://forums.nvidia.com"

Is that something I need to worry about?

First off, I can't afford a new chip right now, and second, I can't afford a PCI-E Graphics card either. Plus im going to be living outside of the country here in 6 or 7 months, and I won't be able to bring along the PC, otherwise I would concider it. So im just trying to get a cheap quick fix, so I can use it for as much time as I got left. I haven't decided whether im going to try and sell the PC or just give it to a friend or family member.
