Default New Monitor

I'm looking for a new 22" widescreen monitor for under $300... When I got my first one, a 19" widescreen, I just went out a got it without thinking.... it works great and I have had no problems but things don't seem as clear as some other monitors. Any ideas as to what I should get? I use my PC for nothing but gaming and my GFX card in an XFX 8800GS. Also I would like to avoid buying online so the stores around here are Walmart, Best Buy, Office Depot, Circuit City, and CPU USA. Any suggestions would be great!!!

Dells and Samsung are always good gamers, Benq monitors look great aesthetically but come at a premium, Acer is ok depends on the model they are generally cheap and cheerful, Viewsonics lean more towards photo reproduction and editting then gaming.

I quite like my LG and that's a 22", can't remember exactly what model it is though. Dells are good as well (as long as they havn't changed for the worse)

I just bought this 22" Widescreen. Its not one of the best quality brands but its working just fine for me and looks really good. For the price, $159.99, this CANNOT be beat. Heres the link to the Hanns-G 22" Widescreen

Hanns-G HG-216DPB 21.6" Widescreen LCD Monitor - 5ms, 1680x1050 (WSXGA+), 1000:1 Ratio, HDMI, VGA, Speakers, Black at

Hope this helps,
