My name is Ron and this is my first post. I joined this group because I have a computer related dilemma. My CNC milling machine uses a 486 computer and all of the bus slots are ISA. The I/O controller card expired and I'm having difficulty with finding a replacement. My desired fix for the problem is to up date the computer. I have two suitable Single Board Computers and that will serve my purpose. My question is: can I remove the CPU from the mainboard and install the SBC in one of the ISA slots?
