Motherboard:
Asus P5LD2 LGA 775

i have a Western digital 160GB hd already and a dvd burner i am jsut looking for comments on those items and hope they are a good choice.

I would try to spring for a 955x chipset if you can, they are better OC'ers, and Asus would be a good choice.

Those 6xx chips OC very well. That HSF you picked is actually pretty good from what I have read, so you should be able to get a decent OC going. If you want to go a little more hardcore, the xp-90cu or the Tower112 is also a good choice for air cooling.

i already have a case with 1x120mm and 2x80mm fans in it so it should be good enought for now i would think.

I was looking at the money isuee for me. that if i got the heatseaker which is needed i well need to use a 945x chipset rather then a 955x which i can always upgrade later.

Huh? I think your confusing what I said. The 630 CPU (ie 6xx series) is fine. The 955x chipset refers to the motherboard. The one you have listed is 945P, a lower end chipset.

sorry just really started getting into building my own recently and this well by me first build. i was looking into a dual core processor but with intel i am not sure if it is worth it.. i know amd pwns with there x2's but is is worth getting a intel dual core?
