my old hard drive hit the crapper and now i need a new one and i need help
(we'll have a little correspondence going on here)
i need a new hard drive (obviously) and i was thinking of a western digital, but i don't know which one to buy (i don't know what specs are important)
i will try to post the specs tomorrow and see what you say later
my friend said to order a sata 300 because it will go back to a 150 if it needs to...
right now, the one i plan on buying is a
Western Digital Caviar SE16 500GB Hard Drive from tiger direct
Capacity (GB): 500
Interface: Serial ATA-300
Spindle Speed (RPM): 7200
Buffer Memory: 16MB
let me know if there's anything crucial i should know
(chances are i'll just post all of my computers specs)
it would also help to know what the buffer memory and spindle speed influence
