Hey, I currently have a Compaq SR1750NX Desktop PC

http://tinyurl.com/ocx22

I am looking to upgrade the video card in it as it currently has an ATI Radeon Xpress 200 256MB card (SHARED memory)

I have 2 available PCI Slots (one is used by the current card) and 1 PCI Express slot. I would like to be able to play the latest games. I would also like to keep the price under $300 Canadian ($260 US). Thanks for the help!

lol the ati radeon xpress 200 is not taking up any slots, its integrated on the motherboard. i couldn't find it in the link, but like you said you should have a pci-express slot.

EVGA e-GeForce 7600 GT CO SUPERCLOCKED™ 256MB DDR3 PCI-E $269

if you want to buy it in person, www.canadacomputers.com has the card in stock but they have it at like $299.. and its BFG. buy it online and save some $$

i forgot to mention... these video cards need good powersupplies... i hope yours will be able to handle it..

i also thought i'd mention, in case you have more than $300..
high performance card, one of best out there...

for cheap. I believe i'll get that EVGA e-GeForce 7600 GT CO 256MB DDR3 PCI-E

Oh and to the guy who said mt current card doesn't take up any slots, thanks for clarifying (I didn't know, my computer just said something was taking up one of the PCI slots)

I was also looking at this card http://tinyurl.com/jl26o
Is that a good one for the price? looks good to me, and it's cheap.

The X1300's aren't very good, imo.
I'd say go with a 6800GS, 7600GT, or a 7800GT (But the 7800GT is 300$ US)

ATI/SAPPHIRE X1300 PCI-E 256MB DVI TVout

no this card is not very good. getting the eVGA 7600gt is a fine choice.
