I do not. It pretty much works like this. The 3rd heatpipe that isn't making contact is still cooling due to it having direct contact with the middle heatpipe that does make contact with the GPU. The cooler is just reissued from the 760 which has a large GPU die than the 970 and that's why the 3rd pipe doesn't make direct contact. The cooling performance isn't hampered. I have one sitting in a machine in my room right now and have tested it for myself.
