New cpu/mobo

So, im looking to get a new Motherboard and CPU.

What would you guys recommend me to get, so it doesnt bottleneck my GTX580?

If you went to a 1155 setup, you would need DDR3 RAM. So, CPU + Board + RAM.

The Q6600 is about the best C2D out there. I used to have one. It punched pretty hard.

It is the best Conroe (Kentsfield) based C2Q. The Yorkfield Q9650/9550s were a ton better and produced less heat.

I suggest an 1155 setup myself.

Well the 9550/9650 CPUs are C2Q too. The Q6600 was just the first.

Yea, that should be able to play nicely with a 580.

I don't like the onboard graphics, as I have had issues with keeping the primary as PCIe, but for the price, you can't go wrong.
