Default New computer for my dad.

I am building a new computer for my dad. His old one is a amd k6. He is only going to use this for im'ing and email. I went with a socket 754 because he will never upgrade it. He had a budget of 700 bucks. I went over it by 30. He is pleased with it, but If he was gonna upgrade it, I would have went with the socket 939. Anyways, I have rambled on enough, here is the specs.

17" monitor from previous comp
speakers from previous comp
keyboard and mouse from previous comp
All new
SABRENT TV Tuner/Video Capture/FM Radio
Creative Labs SoundBlaster Live 24 Bit
Chaintech GeForce 6600GT 128MB DDR3 AGP DVI/TV-OUT
NEC ND-3540A/GEN Blk Int 16X DVD+/-RW DL Drive
Gigabyte K8U Socket 754 Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 3400+ (NewCastle Core)
PPA 3.5" Internal Card Reader Black
Maxtor 160GB EIDE HD 7200/8MB/ATA-133
Ultra Wizard Black Mid Tower ATX Case
Ultra X-Connect 400W ATX PS w/2 80mm Fans Titanium
Ultra 512MB PC3200 DDR 400MHz CL3
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition

Mind you, he will never upgrade, just want some feedback, if I could have gotten him one a little cheaper with the same basic specs.

Lol, I'm not laughing at you, I just thought mabye I could do a little better for him. I had a hard time keeping it at the 700 dollar range. I thought I did real well, and It will last him a very long time. Seeing how he is still using a old amd k6.

Edit: Yes, I had to buy xp as he is currently running windows 95.

Good job, the only reason I didn't go the socket A route was because I wanted him to atleast have a 64 bit processor. Otherwise I would have gone that route.
