Default New Computer Build Noob Help

Guys,

Below is my computer build I put together this past December while I was in Iraq. I am looking at finally purchasing this computer and beginning the build. This is my first build. I will mostly use this build for trading stocks and forex. The forex program I use utilizes a lot of memory and power. I also play the occasional game so I would like it to perform when I need it to. I am looking to eventually add a second monitor to this system if possible. Please let me know your thoughts thanks.

I would change the psu to a Corsair 750tx.

Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply - Power Supplies

With the money you saved on the psu you could change the gpu to a HD 4870 which si faster than a 9800GTX+.

Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100259L Radeon HD 4870 512MB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Also this ram is cheaper.

Newegg.com - OCZ 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

Beat me to it PJ.

My only other recommendation is a different case, but that's a personal preference.

I would recommend getting PC3 12800 DDR3 1600 memory. I'm not sure if you'll overclock or not, but it will give you some extra headroom. Plus it's faster.

Newegg.com - OCZ XMP Ready Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

Oh, I didn't catch that he had 1333 RAM.

But I would recommend this kit instead, better timings, 2 bucks more after rebate.

EDIT: My bad, link didn't post...

Thank you for the responses. Any other suggestions to my components or should I be good to go with what I got. Also what is the difference in the RAM?

The RAM Hikari suggested has low timings and is also clocked higher at 1600mhz as opposed to the 1333mhz ones you originally posted. To sum it up, they're faster.

Some would say to go with an ATI 4770 instead of the 9800GTX+. They're $100 and kick butt.

Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100277L Radeon HD 4770 512MB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Besides that, go for it duder.
