that 2900Pro looks a lot a GT... cuz of its 256-bit interface which will drag its perfomance all the way down to the x1950PRO level

stick with the hd 3850. Should perform the same as the 2900PRO and a lot cooler and you can save money on the power supply.

All but the PSU. I would cough up the extra $5 and get this one. No rebate, but it won't fry your components, either.
