New Build Need Help...

Hi all. Was asked to build a gaming system for $500.00 Obviously it won't need to be the cutting edge. This post is for help on what you would put together on a gaming system for the above mentioned price. This is just for the guts/insides. I have a case and 450PS already that totals $33.00. So take that out of the $500.00. Will need all components. Prefer AMD with an avg/mid-high end Video Card. Preferable PCI-e and 256mb. If we have to because of price 8xAGP wouldn't be bad. Also would prefer moderate size 80GB SATA hdd. Thanks to all that help! Love this forum!

Magaousters system he built looks good. it should be able to play games on ~medium settings fine.

Wow it looks like you are talking to yourself lol... but you can downgrade the proc to the 3000+ version. You only really need 1 optical drive right now, just get a dvd burner for 40 bucks.
