Well first I want to thank everyone for the input that will no doubt take me some time to go over and do some comparing. It is a little confusing to a newbie all the different components involved when I really don't know what components are better suited to my needs. Thanks again to all.

Have another question as far as HD. I need to know which of the following would or would not work with the following. They are both Seagate Hd but one says sata 3.0Gb/s and the other IDE ultra ata 100. Both are 160 Gb.which one or both would be compatible or the better of the two for the build::
Rosewill atx Mid tower case 120mm fan $44.99
Rosewill RP550V2-D-sl 550W Sli Ready dual fans $59.99
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 st3160815as 160Gb Sata 3.0Gb/s $45.99
Seagate same specs only Ide ultra ata 100 $45.99
Ocz ATi Crossfire 2Gb(2x1Gb)240pin ddr2 sdram ddr2 800 pc2 6400 $45.99
MSI NX8500Gt-TD256eh GeForce 8500Gt 256MB Expressx16 SLi vid card $54.99
Gigabyte GA-G31M-S2L LGA 775 MoBo $$59.99
Intel Pent.E2200 Allendale 2.3 Ghz LGA 775 65WDualCore $79.99
Sony 3.5 Floppy $7.99
Windows Xp Pro $139.99
I know this Windows is for system Builders so not sure if that will be OK
Not sure if this Mobo will do the trick or will I need something better.
I know this is no longer a Budget build but under $700 doesn't seem to bad.
Thanks for the help.

If you notice, the most expensive part of your build is the OS - the build is quite cheap otherwise, and very decent for your needs. Still a budget build.

SATA HDs are preferred because the cords are thinner and (I hear) they are faster. In other words, I'm not (too) sure of the reasons for SATA over IDE, but I think my assertion that SATA is preferred is correct.

sata = smaller cable, faster transfer rates, better wire management and air flow with the cable also

ide has a larger ribbon cable (much larger) and it messes with wire management and air flow, also has slower transfer rates.

Great thanks I will go with the Seagate Sata HD.Does everyhting else look ok for the build or do you see any conflicts with the components as far as being a decent unit? As you can see I added a $55. video card which I am not sure if I need or not but think it might be ok for the cost involved.I hope the rest of the build matches and for less than $600 seems ok.Any thought and suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks

It looks good, and everything should work together. Although, I'm not sure why you have a 3.5" floppy drive. Also, comparing to the first post, you don't have a CD/DVD drive, so it might be hard to install windows on it. Try something like this:

Newegg.com - LITE-ON Black 20X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 20X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA DVD Burner with LightScribe - CD / DVD Burners

Although if you don't want lightscribe, you can probably go cheaper than that even.

Thanks just checked on the DVD Cd burner.Forgot that in my prev. post. I know floppy is very outdated but I still like to use it and comes in handy for the small cost.I don't think it would hurt to have it tho.Anyway thanks for the input, now I just need to find someone in my area to help put this together!!!! Thanks for the help

Have a new list up for anyone to comment on before purchase from Newegg.Would like to make sure I am not going with overkill or lack of good components.
