I want to build the cheapest Socket A Barebones system I can find. I don't really care if I it's a barebones (already assembled) or one where I have to put a mobo in, etc.

I had my sights set on THIS , but alas, it is out of stock. Probably won't be coming in stock any time soon.

I'm not incredibly knowledgable on putting together cases and mobos, but I'm sure I could manage with some decent instructions.

I already have the AMD Sempron 2600+ CPU, I have some DDR 400 (3200) 512 MB sticks, a cheap AGP video card (MX4000 AGP 4X) that I want to toss in, I just need a case and mobo that would work well and is super cheap... (I don't want to spend more than $150)

P.S. The ram is Corsair ValueSelect... and I also have a HD from the old comp I can throw in.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks!

not sure about the motherboard(you can probably get a better one), but here's a cheap one:

and now... you need a psu...

that should be good

no reason to spend alot on a socket a mobo... mine was only $20 something and It's never failed, same with my case

that's about $100, you might shave off some extra $ with a cheaper psu...

When looking for socket A boards for sempron's you "MUST" make sure the board supports it, In the list of cpu's if it doesn't say sempron's then it probably doesn't support it. Even alot of the newer socket A's had to have bios updates to recognize the sempron's. The board linked to above doesn't say it supports the Sempron's So I would be carefull with that.

This is about the only new one I could find with 8xagp (Don't get 4xagp you will kick yourself if you ever come across a 128mb 8x) ddr400 and support the sempron. Its pc chips though
