yo dudes...

i hate how my computer revs like a jet engine... i bought a thermaltake silent 775 and that thing not only sounds just as loud as the stock heatsink, but now im running 5 degrees warmer idle (49 C)

any suggestions for a good passive heatsink?

i dont overclock, so thats not an issue

ok so i checked the bios again.

my system is running 2 degrees cooler at 38, and my cpu is the same as with the stock at about 44-45.

im sure i installed it correctly. had to take the motherboard out and screw in the heatsink to the "X" you put underneath the mobo. also put on thermal compound of course.

i like that heatsink, but have they made one for socket-T that doesnt need an adapter?

the ones i found are for 478 and the AMD platforms
