What does everything think of this PC?

Would I need to add a heatsink for the CPU or add extra fans?

Hi Bobot,

In terms of quality of your purchase, I can't really say because I am not totally sure about the US to Canada exchange rate.

But I recommend checking out some of the PC's at Tigerdirect.com. They have very good prices and on some PC's you can customize them the way you want. If you are familiar with build PC's I recommend just buying a bare bones kit and assembling it yourself because it will save you a lot of money!

With the fan situation, yes I would recommend more fans. You will be running a fairly intensive system and stock cooling isn't going to cut it. I would suggest at least 1 more fan or if you are willing to risk it, having liquid cooling.

Let me know what you find out!

hey there

with a budget like that, you could get an awesome system.

i see you're getting your parts from ncix.com , which is a great site.

there are discounts at ncix.com for being a member, and subscribing to their newsletter.. sometimes the prices are a lot cheaper.. i'll make you a computer thats better and for the same price.. you'll have to wait like a week or 2 before you can buy it for the conroe to be available. most important thing is you subrscribe to ncix's newsletter and you become a member to get their better prices. ALSO, they do price matching!! (as long as its not a special or a store clearance.. they'll honour it.. so check out places like www.cancomputer.com and www.anitec.ca for lower prices, and price match with ncix)

Thats a really good build

If you can put the PC together yourself you will save a bundle of money. Tigerdirect has a huge selection of bare bones parts. If you do it this way you might be able to save a couple hundred bucks. But if you dont know how to then a prebuild from a custom pc manufacturer is the way to go.
