Hi, I'm highly considering getting this CPU mobo combo but I need to know if you all think this is a good deal. I can't afford a intel core 2 duo right now its way way out of my price range..... my limit is at $130-$150 I don't need a extremely fast CPU or duo core I just need a good pc that can handle todays software.

Here is the current list

Are you planning to overclock?? If every penny does count then you will be better off using the money toward a more futureproof system. The stock cooling will do fine even for small overclocks.

Actually I don't plan on overclocking at all

I was going to get this Pentium D and pcchips mobo combo for 98.00

Newegg.com - Intel Pentium D 805 Smithfield 2.66GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor - OEM

If you look on this page I will getting combo #3

Newegg.com - Buy Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

Ram I know its a little low but I'll upgrade that towards the end of summer
Newegg.com - CORSAIR ValueSelect 256MB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 533 (PC2 4200) Desktop Memory - Retail

The heat sink fan is undecided right now but this is something that I'm looking at

Newegg.com - Spire SP513S6 90mm Sleeve CPU Cooler - Retail

Also a Friend of mine will give me a 430 watt power supply not unless the PS that came with my new gateway case will do the ATX power connector is a little bit longer then standard atx connectors which has me worried.....

Also I'm going work in about 10 minutes when I get there my supervisor is going to give me a black dell 17 CRT monitor its brand new it was donated to them about 4 days ago.

so all 4 parts will equal up to $130 tops.

Also the first choice I had that motherboard is way to big my gateway case plus it doesn't have onboard video which is a no go.......
