Default need a new motherboard ASAP

My motherboard is acting goofy and I would like to get a replacement asap, but without a bunch of research I don't know what my best choice is.

I need it to work with an Athlon 64, 939 chipset processor and I am looking at Abit and Asus.

Out of the available mb's I am clueless as to what difference the chipsets make to me.

ATI vs NVIDIA vs SIS vs VIA : I am not exactly sure what any of these mean, or what makes one different from the rest. My current MB is VIA, but I haven't had the best luck with it either.

Any advice would be greatly greatly appreciated as I am losing business without my PC.

I would go to newegg and try to stick with a NVIDIA nForce 4 chipset. Would help to know what the rest of your setup is, but this is a great mobo...

CPU - Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz
Mobo - ASRock Z77 Extreme4
GPU - EVGA 02G-P4-3660-KR GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB
RAM - G.SKILL 8GB DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
H.D. - Corsair Force Series GT 120GB SATA III (SSD)
PSU - CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX650 V2 650W ATX12V
Case - COOLER MASTER Storm Scout
Monitor - Dual Hanns-G HW191D 19" Flat Panel
OS - Windows 7 Home 64 bit
