if you plan to do some overclocking why not get the 5000+ black edition with the unlocked multiplier 
with this mobo MSI K9A2 Platinum 790FX. with this you could upgrade to Phenom later if you wish and its got crossfire support for an HD 3870. this would be for your higher end build.
