Default Need help , made mistake

guys i bout the

ocz stealth xstream 500w psu off of ebuyer

and stupidly did not realise that cpu power was only 4 pin

this isnt a huge problem as friend isin need ofone anyway however, would it work if i used the 8 pin pci express cable into the cpu ???

What chip?

And HECK NO the pci-e will not work as the 8 pin cpu plug.

what board did you get? some will work with only a 4 pin into the 8 pin connection. Look it up first. If it will there are a specific set of 4 they want you to use. On my board it had a sticker over the 4 pins to not use.

4-Pin to 8-Pin ATX Adapter Cable - 6 Inches Sleeved [4-8-ADAPTER] : Performance-PCs.com, ... sleeve it and they will come

cheers guys, yes i have sold it to my friend, i would rather have a psu that will elt me have room to upgrade

he paid what i paid for it which is allg ood


could anyone recommend a psu in the regen of 70 pound and preferably 70, but would go to 80 if i had to

would like sli

and has to work with this mobo

No 8pin 12v connector only 4 pin.

ok, i think this one works and is 55 pound which is a nice price

by the way the rreason i didnt go with the corsair was because it will only be delivered on 20th september

Yes it will and upon further research of the Antec one you posted it has a 8pin as well.

The stats on ebuyer were lacking somewhat.
