Default Need help with first built computer

I'm still new to the building your own computer scene, but I *think* I have an idea of what I need. I'm a definite noob when it comes to this kind of thing.

I've tried looking for something mainly for games and downloading music/movies. I don't really want to exceed 700$, but a little over isn't that big of a deal. (That's in Canadian dollars)

So far I've got:

Case
Newegg.ca - RAIDMAX AZTEC ATX-619WB Black/ Silver 1.0mm SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Foldout MB Computer Case - Computer Cases

Memory
Newegg.ca - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1000 (PC2 8000) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

Video Card
Newegg.ca - EVGA 512-P3-N980-AR GeForce 9800 GT Hybrid Power 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Hard Drive
Newegg.ca - Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD5000AAKS 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives

I'm not sure how I can tell if these or other parts will function together, or fit in the case.

I still don't know what to do for Power supply, motherboard, fans, or CD drives and burners.

If anyone could suggest Power supply, motherboard, fans, or CD drives and burners, or anything else I missed (which I'm sure there is something I missed), or if you could suggest anything to improve my list above, please do .

Trying to stay close to the 700$ price range, in Canadian dollars.

Thanks in advance!

These outperform the 9800 GT and could be had for less.

Newegg.ca - Radeon HD 4830, Radeon HD 4000 series, Desktop Graphics / Video Cards, Video Cards & Video Devices, Computer Hardware

Also what size monitor are you using?

Did you have anything in mind?

Because the 9800 GT/4830 are great cards when paired with 22" and 19" widescreens. But anything lower then that. You would be able to get by with a 4670 or a 9600 GSO.

I haven't thought that far ahead, but I know that it definitely will not exceed 22'', but 19'' widescreen is most likely, since they aren't too pricy

Decent 22" monitors could be had for under $200 while 19" monitors are usually $150~ or less. Anyways, the cards I linked should be able to handle a 22/19 inch monitor.

First off, ALWAYS start a build with your CPU and/or motherboard chosen first. You can't build a properly configured system, if you don't have the 'body/brain' for it. Since the budget isn't really the greatest, I'll configure something using AMD products to save on cash.

Motherboard : JetWay JHA06
Newegg.ca - JetWay JHA06 AM2+/AM2 AMD 780G ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards

Processor/CPU : AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+
Newegg.ca - AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ 3.1GHz 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM2 89W Dual-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops

RAM/Memory : G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800
Newegg.ca - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

Video Card/GPU : SAPPHIRE Radeon HD4650 512MB
Newegg.ca - SAPPHIRE 100253L Radeon HD 4650 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Hard Drive : SAMSUNG SpinPoint 500GB

Optical Drive : SAMSUNG DVD+/-RW Burner
Newegg.ca - SAMSUNG Black 20X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 16X DVD+R DL 20X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA 20X DVD Burner with LightScribe - CD / DVD Burners

Case : NZXT HUSH Black (Just chose a case that I would like, this of course is up to you)
Newegg.ca - NZXT HUSH Black SECC Steel/ Aluminum/ Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases

Power Supply/PSU : Rosewill 530W
Newegg.ca - Rosewill RG530-2 530W 80Plus Bronze Certified, ATX12V v2.3/EPS12V v2.91, SLI Ready, Active-PFC Power Supply, UL,FCC,CE,TUV,ROHS - Power Supplies

Fans/Heatsinks : Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer
Newegg.ca - Sunbeam CR-CCTF 120mm "Core Contact Freezer" CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks

That ends up to around $668.26 before shipping. If you could spend a little more, you could either upgrade to 8GB of ram, or add another video card for Crossfire. If you still need a monitor, you can downgrade the processor to a AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+, and you would save $50, and that could go towards your monitor. You would also save around $30 by using the computer case you chose. That would leave you with around $120, for the monitor, if you downgraded the processor, and chose your first computer case choice. Which you could either buy a used monitor, or you could get Newegg.ca - Hanns·G HB-191DPB Black 19" 5ms DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 2400:1(DCR) Built in Speakers - LCD Monitors this one, which would be around $170. I bought my 19" Widescreen monitor for $35 off of craiglist (Acer AL1916W ).

I would get a single more powerful card rather than getting 2 weak 4650's. And 4650 wil only b gud for 17-15 inch monitors. Further more an intel build is the best choice nowadays. I recomend intel e7300 cpu.
