Need to decide what video card to get for my new set up

Recently purchased this hp from bestbuy...

HP - Pavilion HPE Desktop - 10GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive - h8-1234

People were saying to switch out the video card and power supply and would would do wonders.

My question is, is my motherboard compatible and is it SLI compatible? I can't find out for the life of me. If so I am going to go for the nvidia 660 Ti, but if not...what do you guys suggest?

Your motherboard is a 970 chipset proprietary board. It has a single PCI-E 2.0 slot for graphics and your current PSU is a standard sized 300w OEM.

You will have a problem with the PSU as it isn't a standard sized PSU and the 660ti requires at least 400W.

Well you misunderstood me. The PSU that is in your case isn't the standard size so getting a regular PSU wont fit. Also 750w is way overkill for the 660ti.

The PSU in your case is some kind of proprietary. 650w would be fine.

Look at the dimensions of his PSU vs another one. The height is more than a usual PSU due to the fan size. Google image search his PC model and look at the rear of the PC.
