i don't think so either. although dual xeon's would have a hell of a lot of crunching power. that would have to be pretty good for encoding. but i don't know how crippled xeon's are when it comes to multimedia etc because as has been pointed out they are intended for servers

I think I got mixed up here i thought it was possible to have 2 x Athlon 64 Dual-Core 4400 in the same system running together? The same as you could with the xeon CPU?

So you guys recommend i go for the Athlon 64 4400+ or the 4800+?
