Smile My first PC build, $400-$500 help??

ok so i have already selected a list of components i want my pc to have and they are:

Seagate 1TB 3.5?Barracuda 7200rpm Sata 3Gb/s Hard Drive - eBay Hard Drives, Drives, Components, Computers. (end time 11-Jun-10 16:38:33 AEST)
Cooler Master Gladiator 600 ATX Mid 500W PSU Tower Case - eBay Midi Tower, Computer Cases, Components, Computers. (end time 17-Jun-10 14:20:14 AEST)

i am pretty sure that all these things are compatible except for the case and the power supply but that can be fixed if they are wrong. so does any 1 have any tips to make things easier?? or any tips in general?? the prices in the links arnt set so i might be able to find stuff cheaper (not newegg i live in australia) so any help would be appreciated

i have around $500 to spend and i want to make a gaming pc because my current laptop isnt up to standards anymore so does any 1 have some suggestions?? and no i dont have any spare parts from old pcs unless a 10 year old 98 is any good? lol
