My mother and fathers motherboard caught on fire today. It appears that the fire started at the printerport on the mother board. I am planning on replacing their motherboard and processor. What I am wondering is how I go about this. I mean after all the components are installed. WHen I turn the computer on will all the data still be on the hard drive. Please Help!

The data will still be on the hard drive, but you will need to format it if you want to be able to use it with a new motherboard. If you absolutely need the data, which you probably do, then you could go pick up a cheap hard drive to install windows on and then back up the data. If have an open partition, then you could install windows on the open partition and do the same as with the new hard drive.
