I was getting ready to buy my parts when I noticed something.

In the motherboard specs for a: Gigabyte GA M55S-S3, NF550, S AM2, PCI-E (x16), DDR2 400/533/667/800, SATA II, ATX

I noticed it says: FSB/HT Speed: 1000 MHz

Now for my CPU: AMD AM2 Athlon 64 4200+ Dual Core 2.2GHz, 2x 512KB Cache, Retail Energy Efficient

It says: FSB/HT Speed: 2000 Mhz

Does that mean I should look for a new motherboard? It took me awhile to find a decent motherboard for my system so it would mean me having to spend ages looking for a new one.

Thanks for your time.

I found it for £1 dearer at scan which is handy, because it's only 15 minutes away in the car. I'll be getting the full system from there.

I'm not worried about compatibility as much, I'm worried about the CPU not running at it's full speed.
