Perhaps a socket 754 build is in your price range? A low end sempron 64 and a cheaper motherboard might be about that same price.

If I had to pick between the 2, I'd pick the first one. Has a little more room to grow, and ECS has treated me better than PC Chips.

Dont waste $150 on a Socket A based combo.
This motherboard has 5 eggs from 65 people at Newegg -
Gigabyte GA-K8U ATX AMD Motherboard

Or this motherboard, as it has PCI Express (one less egg though) -
TUL AX480A7-F ATX AMD Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813190002

And this is the 64-bit version of the processor you selected above -
AMD Athlon 64 2800+ 800MHz HT Socket 754 Processor
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103491

Combo #1 - $152
Combo #2 - $153 (not bad for a 64-bit, PCI Express based combo)

Both of these combos are going to be faster and more upgradable in the future than either combo that you had selected above.
Plus you'll be buying from a more reputable dealer than some random computer warehouse website.
