i recently found out that my mobo was causing my computer to powerup but not boot
i'm using a ASUS p5n-e

ANY SUGGESTIONS!?!?

EDIT- i forgot to mention what i need
LGA 775
4 DDR2 RAM slots
PCIe x16 (2.0)
BUS plug...
i think thats all i need lol

i think the firewire? is that what you call it?
it's like a USB wannabe i guess LOL
and i have another thread about my problem, they said it was my mother board...
and he was a supertechi and all that so i think im gonna trust them LOL

I am a "Wizard Techie" the ultimate below a mod lol the little bit under the name just relates to post count in most cases ;). If your happy then thats great as I still have no clue what your talking about. Motherboard firmwares are called bioses and they're updateable. USB - Universal serial bus its a type of connection not an actual piece of equiptment.

Ieee 1394 is firewire again a type of connection not equiptment

Right, and he is saying that he needs a firewire connector on the motherboard. Come on salty wakey wakey.
@OP: Dont be put off a motherboard just because it doesn't have firewire, you can buy an expansion card easily enough. Of course if it does have firewire onboard then even better...
