Default Monitors...

What make a monitor a good monitor? Is there anything to look for?

Can anyone recommend any good 17" monitors that are good but well priced?

well a tft is going to be best. the main things to look for are the response times (ms) 8 is good. and max resolution. 17" i think goes up to 1280 by sumthin which is good.

Im also thinking about buying a monitor. Right now I have a dell that I dont think supports a very high resolution, and I kind of want to get a better one.

What would you guys suggest? Literally I have no idea what to get. I want one for gaming, not amazingly expensive, with a nice native resolution. Maybe 20'?
