Default Monitors!

My dad orders these for his computer company. He suggested I get it.

Newegg.com - Gateway FHD2401 Black 24" 5ms HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 400 cd/m2 2000:1 - LCD Monitors

I only have to pay $100 since my birthday is coming up. What do you guys think? I like gaming, so refresh rates are good...

THANKS

To max (not including AA) Crysis on that, you'll need a gtx 280/85 if you don't oc. If you're ocing a 260c216 might do it. You'll get 24-26 fps in Crysis, and 28-30 in Warhead. That's what I get with my 85 anyway.

For other games, I'd say yeah, 260 or 4870 to max them out (including AA). You could probably get away with a 4850 or gts 250 on stuff like cod. I'm assuming your want 45-50+ fps.

Meh, you could easily find a better monitor for the same price.. even less.

Newegg.com - Hanns·G HG-281DPB Black 27.5" 3ms Widescreen LCD HDMI Monitor 500 cd/m2 800:1 Built-in Speakers - LCD Monitors - $300
Newegg.com - ASUS VW246H Black 24" 2ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 1000:1 (ASCR 20000:1) Built in Speakers - LCD Monitors - $220
Newegg.com - Hanns·G HH-251HPB Black 24.6" 2ms HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 DC 15000:1(800:1) Built-in Speakers - LCD Monitors - $210

The first one is probably your best choice if you must have 1920x1200 (the rest are 1920x1080).. otherwise they're all pretty good.

No. You need a monitor that is at least 100hz. Most of those over that are gonna be 120hz.
