Default monitor

what is a good 15' LCD monitor to buy? i know jack about monitors. are the ones that are TV's any good (small LCD tvs). it will be used mainly for gaming.

can u also point out things that i should be looking for when comparing screens.

For gaming, get a respone time below 8ms.

ive been tlkin 2 a guy at work about this too.

keep an eye out for the contrast ratio, should be over 600:1, and also resolution on smaller monitors.

sometimes monitors come with speakers and hike up the price, so keep an eye out for that too!

synth7, my monitor has a response time of 12ms and it's just fine. My friend has a 4ms one and... WOW!

just get a monitor under 8 ms response time youll be set. other then that it dosnt matter

15" is really really small.

LCD TV's are really low res, you don't want a TV, get a monitor.
