Default The modern day Commodore!

Well, I originally saw this today in PC Magazine. It looks pretty interesting. It's not something I think I would ever buy, but it does have a market.

I guess anyone who just needs a simple PC for (internet, email, word processing, instant messaging...etc...) could use this. It might even be ok for a college student without much room for a desktop.

It could probably also be used as a decent (POS) system for businesses...

Check it out... What do you think?

I just did a quick "configure" and it seems that you could almost buy a decent laptop (a cheap one at least) for the same price.

The base price is $570 for the "better" one.
With 512MB RAM (base only is 256), Windows XP home (none included in base price), a mouse, and a CD-ROM drive (RW/DVD drives are even more) it comes to $775. Add in their 15" monitor it comes out to $1000.
Doesn't really seem that great of a deal.

That wouldn't be a bad deal if they made it sub-500 and 512mb of ram was a cheap, cheap alternative.
