mobo upgrade

hi, i'm new to these forums so sorry if this is wrongly posted

so i'm buying a asus p5q se2 motherboard with the intention of installing a intel q8300 later on
and want to know, will the board support a pentium 4 640? as i want to use my old cpu until i get the q8300
