Default Mobo help

Im looking to upgrade my computer over the summer. Because my motherboard supports a maximum of an athlon 3000xp i'll be investing in a new motherboard.

Are all motherboards specifically pci-express or agp graphics, as i have an agp card i'd like to use on the new motherboard but later upgrade to a pci? Can you get motherboards with both slots?

What would be a good mobo option for an athlon 64 chip? Nothing too expensive, on a budget.

need an indication of your budget.....everyone has a different idea of what "low budget" is.
