Mixing Ram Speeds

I am upgrading my old Gateway 500s with a new AMD Sempron Cpu and Foxconn motherboard. I already have 2 sticks of Pc2100 512Mb @ 266mhz that I plan to use on my new Mobo when it gets here. My new Mobo supports 2G of Pc2100, 2700, 3200 ram. I would like to get a stick of 1024G- pc3200 @ 400 mhz. to add along with one of my pc2100 512mb 266mhz sticks so i will have 1.5G. My question is is will pc3200 @400mhz work with pc 2100 @266mhz? Or should I order a stick of 1024G pc2100 @ 266mhz? I would like to go with the 400Mhz but not if it isnt compatible with my 512@266mhz. Any help would be GREATLEY appreciated!! THANKS

All the RAM will run at the lowest RAM speed.

Just run the PC3200 and sell the other stuff. I doubt that you'll get more out of 1.5 gig of RAM at 266 vs 1 gig of RAM at 400.
