Default microstuttering

is there much or any microstutter when you crossfire or sli ? like ive heard on many websites never sli or crossfire as you just get microstutter. is this true ? if i was going to crossfire would i get any microstuttering ? do you just get microstuttering with some games or would it be with the latest games like battle field 3 ? do you get microstuttering with 3 graphics cards or is it with only 2 and is microsuttering a huge issue ?

also would people see alot of differnce from changing processors ? is there a huge fps gain or only little ? is the processor benchmarks where they gain huge fps only with like a gtx 580 or 590 or would it be with a 6850 ? a example a amd quad core 640 3.0ghz to a intel i5 2500k
