Hey guys-

Just wanted to impress my girlfriends dad by upgrading his memory on his computer. I wanted to make sure that the ram I was going to get would be compatible before I make a fool of myself lol. They currently have a 1GB kingston 240pin in there and it goes real slow. I wanted to get this off of newegg. Is this compatible on the MSI MS-7309 running windows 7 32-bit?

yup it'll run perfectly fine.

The one thing you'll run into when you look at the amount of ram in windows is it will show up at like 3.5gb or some amount less than 4gb, which is because of the 32 bit operating system. For extra brownie points with your gf's dad read up on this http://www.techist.com/forums/f9/difference-between-32-bit-x86-64-bit-x64-171390/ and you can explain why he'll only see and be able to use 3.5 of the 4gb.
